How Does the JPG to PDF Converter Work?
The CompressFly JPG to PDF converter turns each JPG or JPEG image into a PDF page. Combine multiple photos or scans into one document in the order shown, or create a separate PDF for each image. Choose a standard paper size such as A4 or Letter, or use Fit to image for pages shaped around your photos. Images keep their proportions and are scaled to fit without cropping. Your files are processed locally in your browser, with no uploads or signup required.
What "processed locally" means
- Your photos and scans are not uploaded to a server
- Image processing and PDF creation happen on your device
- Your original JPG files remain unchanged
- The finished PDF or ZIP is created in your browser
One PDF or a Separate PDF for Each JPG?
Combine multiple JPGs into one PDF to keep a set of photos together, or batch convert them while keeping the results separate.

|---|---|---|
| Result | One PDF containing every image | One PDF for each image |
| Page order | Follows the image order in the workspace | Each file contains one image |
| Useful for | Multi-page scans, assignments, and receipt collections | Documents that need to be submitted or shared separately |
| Download | One PDF file | Individual PDFs or one ZIP |
Keep “Combine all images into one PDF document” selected for one file, or turn it off for separate PDFs.

Can I convert JPEG files as well as JPG files?
Yes. JPG and JPEG are filename extensions for the same image format. This converter also accepts JFIF, JFI, and JIF files. For other image formats or a mix of formats, use the Image to PDF converter.
Can I combine multiple JPGs into one PDF?
Yes. Keep “Combine all images into one PDF document” selected. Each image becomes one page, and the PDF follows the order shown in the workspace. Drag the images into a different order before converting.
Can I batch convert JPGs into separate PDF files?
Yes. Turn off the combine option to create a separate PDF for each JPG. You can download the completed PDFs individually or together in a ZIP file.
Can I convert JPG images to A4 or Letter-sized PDF pages?
Yes. Choose A4, Letter, or another available paper size, then select portrait or landscape orientation. Each image is centered and scaled to fit while keeping its proportions.
How do I convert JPG to PDF without white borders?
Choose “Fit to image” and set the margin to “None” for a page that follows the image’s shape without an added border. On fixed paper sizes such as A4 or Letter, white space can remain when the image and page have different proportions. White borders already inside the JPG are not removed.
Will converting JPG to PDF reduce image quality?
The converter re-encodes images when creating the PDF, so some detail may change. Converting to PDF does not improve a low-resolution or blurry JPG. Keep the original images and review the PDF at the size you plan to view or print it.
Does converting a JPG scan to PDF make the text searchable?
No. Text photographed or scanned into a JPG remains part of the image. This converter does not perform OCR or add a searchable text layer.
Is the JPG to PDF converter free, and are my images uploaded?
Yes, the converter is free, with no registration or credit card required. Your JPG files are processed locally in your browser instead of being uploaded to a server.
